Zh. Abishev CMI - single scientific research institute of general metallurgical and chemical-and-technological profile in Central Kazakhstan.

The Institute organized in 1958 has rich practical experience in implementation of scientifically-and-technological researches in metallurgy of ferrous and nonferrous metals. Institute implements scientific and technical activity on whole cycle of metallurgical production: from preparation of raw materials to finished products.

Institute specializes on implementation of:

  • HMIFundamental and technological researches and services including analysis of inorganic compounds, mineral raw materials, anthropogenic products and metallurgical processes; development of scientific bases and adoption of preparation technologies, dressing and metallurgical processing of ores of ferrous and nonferrous metals, including iron ore raw materials of difficult composition, difficult for concentration, off-grade, recyclable and anthropogenic raw materials; calculation and development of constructions of kiln, shaft-furnace; creation and realization of technologies of deriving of new materials, alloys and pure chemical agents; designer’s inspection.
  • Works on standardization and certification of production of mining-metallurgical complex including development of standard projects and assertion of requirements and agreements on production, fuel-raw materials and component of mining-metallurgical branch and chemical industry; carrying out of expertise and giving of conclusions about metallurgical value of mineral raw materials.
  • Ecological researches and services including development of normative legal documentation on ecological and technical safety in mining-metallurgical complex and rational using of subsurface.
  • Postgraduate vocational training including training of personnel of top skills at doctoral candidacy on scientific specialities: 05.16.02 – Metallurgy of ferrous, non-ferrous and rare metals; at postgraduate study (on full-time and partial tuition) on scientific specialities: 05.16.02 – Metallurgy of ferrous, non-ferrous and rare metals, 05.16.08 – Theory of metallurgical processes, 02.00.01 – Inorganic chemistry, 02.00.04 - Physical chemistry.
