Twentieth International symposium on mine planning & equipment selection MPES 2011 took place in Almaty, 12-14^th October.

Totally 180 people from 30 countries including representatives of Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akimate of Almaty City, representatives of large mining and metallurgical enterprises of Kazakhstan (ArcelorMittal Temirtau, Kazakhmys Corporation LLC, Kazatomprom) took part in symposium.

Monograph publication

Department of «Geotechnology, mining systemology and subsurface science» of RSE «NC CPMRM RK» published a monograph «Geoinformation object-oriented technologies of development of automated design system of open cast» in February, 2011.
